Consuming To Income Equality

Howell Hurst Uncategorized

The 2014 World Economic Forum approaches in the ultra luxury ski resort of Davos, Switzerland.

It attracts world leaders, corporate moguls, royalty, movie stars, music mavens, and media reps. This year, all these seriously concerned citizens will be discussing “Income Inequality.” At least they will be when they are not gliding down the snow slopes, swilling cocktails, munching hors d’oeuvres at the bar, or downing seven course dinners.

Some of the highly concerned American patriots who will be suffering this treatment in the name of the poor of the world include: House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (Va.), Reps.Darrell Issa (Calif.), Jeb Hensarling (Tex.), Kay Granger(Tex.), Patrick McHenry (N.C.) and Mario Diaz-Balart.

Also due on the party scene will be: Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.), Sens. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), John McCain (R-Ariz.), and Secretary of State John Kerry. Possibly, it is reported, also Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Gina McCarthy.

When not eating, drinking, skiing, and partying, these people will be finding the solution to the income inequality documenting that 85 people in the world own more than the bottom 50% of the human race.

I am supremely confident they will find the solution. Aren’t you?
