FROM MY CORNER
My 2024 Resolution
I have resolved to keep asking why don’t all professed American Christians behave like Christians?
Particularly, why don’t the 80% of professed Christian Americans require their corporate business leaders start sharing all their work with all American homeless and poor who need places to work and live?
Why don’t all Christian churches identify all poor Americans in each community, and have all the Christian businesses in their communities share all available work with the poor and help them acquire safe places to live?
Many corporate business’s workers now work 35 – 45+ hours a week. Why don’t all workers reduce their present weekly work hours and donate 5 – 10 hours a week sharing their job training and income with the local poor and homeless?
The math is simple. If all American Christian corporations would reduce our present corporate weekly work hours and share them with the poor, we would not have millions of poor and homeless.
I’m not disturbed by Christianity. I’m disturbed by all the working Christian Americans who won’t actually do what they say their belief tells them to do.
For years I have donated every month 7% of my total disabled veteran’s pension to local poor.
7% seems a reasonable request to make of all Christian Americans and corporations.
Would someone explain to me why every American Christian corporation and Christian does not do that?
Happy New Year.
