FROM MY CORNER: My Mistake

Howell Hurst American News, Humans, People, Racism

In the last From My Corner, I said Mr. Spike Lee was lenient toward Liam Neeson’s comments about Black men. That, upon closer inspection, appears not to be true. Lee has refused apparently to cast Neeson in a new film because of his comments.

Which actually proves the point I was making in the last commentary: some people who claim Christian charity, do not seem much attracted by forgiveness these days, which – of course – is a basic tenant of the religion.

Christ’s suggestion we forgive others seems to have lost quite a bit of its tenacity in the 2,000 years since it was presented to the world.

Until next time,

Hal
